Founder & Voice Educator

Master of Vocal Pedagogy from Westminster Choir College. Creator of VoiceScience.org. Over 13 years of teaching experience specializing in musical theatre voice, with a student roster that averages more than two years of continued study.

No two voices get the same program.

Every voice arrives with different strengths, different problems, and different goals. Training starts with a thorough diagnostic — what's working, what's limiting, and what's possible. From there, a plan is built around your voice specifically.

Progress is tracked with data, not guesswork. Lessons are grounded in vocal science — the same research-backed methods behind VoiceScience.org, a platform built by the same instructor who will be working with you.

This is structured, rigorous training for singers who want real technical development — not a weekly sing-along.

Preparing for a BFA Audition

You're a teen or young adult targeting competitive musical theatre programs. You need more than repertoire coaching — you need a voice that holds up in the room under pressure, with the technique to back up your choices. Your audition material needs to show range, control, and specificity.

Stuck at a Plateau

You can perform well enough to get cast, but you know your voice has more. The belt feels inconsistent. The mix isn't reliable. The upper range disappears when you're tired. You've hit the ceiling of what general instruction can do, and you're ready for something more precise.

Coming Back to Training

You studied voice before — maybe in college, maybe years ago — and you want to rebuild with better fundamentals. You're not starting from zero, but you need someone who can assess where you are now and build a plan that respects your experience while filling in the gaps.

Josh gave me a fresh new perspective on what my voice was capable of. I feel more confident in my voice than I ever have before.

Common questions.

Do I need to be experienced to apply?
No. Students at every level are considered. What matters is that you're serious about consistent, focused work — not your starting point.
What do I need for online lessons?
A stable internet connection, a computer or tablet with a camera and microphone, and a quiet space to sing. That's it.
Can I do biweekly or single lessons?
No. This is a weekly commitment at $400/month. Consistent training is how voices change — sporadic lessons don't produce results worth either of our time.
